Ms. Ballard is an experienced health care executive, health care attorney and business owner. She has served in hospital executive management as Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President, and Chief Compliance Officer.

She is a business owner of a consulting firm, offering services in business and program development, health care and health systems management and customer service training. She was of counsel to the law firm of Susman, Duffy & Segaloff, P.C., of New Haven, Connecticut for 15 years, practicing in all aspects of health law.

She has held adjunct faculty appointments at University of Connecticut, Adelphi University, Yale University School of Nursing, and the University of New Haven, among others, and has taught and published widely on health care and health law subjects.

She has extensive experience as a public spokesperson, keynote speaker, seminar leader, and broadcast media personality, including appearances on a televised weekly health series. She is the creator of CarePower®, a self-improvement approach to developing excellence in customer service.

A Pace University Law School educated attorney and a registered professional nurse, Ms. Ballard holds a BS degree in Psychology and an MBA.

Ms. Grant is a nurse attorney admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and currently is in private practice. Her experience includes litigation and mediation. Since 1991, she has served as a mediator for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia primarily mediating medical malpractice and personal injury cases.

From 1998-2004 she served as Of Counsel to the law firm of Ross & Hardies and its successor McGuire Woods LLP. Ms. Grant is a registered nurse with an advanced degree in nursing education. She has developed legal nurse consulting programs and has lectured on nursing and the law. She has also published on the subject. Ms. Grant is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and is past president of The American Association of Nurse Attorneys Foundation.
