Cheryl Scott, PhD, RN, IBCLC, RLC, has enjoyed working as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) across many roles: inpatient lactation consultant, investigator for several human lactation research projects, published author, international speaker and co-chairperson for Kaiser Lactation Associates (KALA). Cheryl’s leadership with KALA has been instrumental in leading all 20 Kaiser Medical Centers to be the first to implement the State of California’s Model Hospital Policies. She also assists with the design and implementation of Kaiser Northern California’s breastfeeding policies, protocols and patient teaching resources for thousands of breastfeeding mothers. Cheryl’s efforts have resulted in her local hospital being rewarded with the highest breastfeeding initiation rates in Sacramento, along with improved patient satisfaction with hospital and lactation services.

NANCY MOHRBACHER, IBCLC, FILCA

Nancy Mohrbacher is an international board-certified lactation consultant who speaks at breastfeeding conferences around the world. She is author of the books for professionals, Breastfeeding Answers Made Simple and its pocket guide edition. She co-authored with Kathleen Kendall-Tackett the popular book for parents, Breastfeeding Made Simple: Seven Natural Laws for Nursing Mothers. Her new problem-solving book, Breastfeeding Solutions: Quick Tips for the Most Common Nursing Challenges, debuted in 2013. Its companion Breastfeeding Solutions phone app for mothers is available through the Apple and Android marketplaces.

Nancy began helping breastfeeding families in 1982. She became board-certified in 1991, and from 1993 to 2003, she founded and maintained a large private lactation practice in the Chicago area, where she worked one-on-one with thousands of families. Still based in Chicago, she currently works for LactCorp Solutions, LLC, a national corporate lactation program. In 2008, the International Lactation Consultant Association officially recognized Nancy's contributions to the field of breastfeeding by awarding her the designation Fellow of the International Lactation Consultant Association (FILCA). Nancy was one of the first group of 16 to be recognized for their lifetime achievements in breastfeeding.
