Sheryl Feutz-Harter is Of Counsel with the law firm of Shughart Thomson & Kilroy, in its Kansas City, Missouri office where she has practiced law since 1986. Her law practice focuses on health care law, professional licensure actions, and corporate compliance for health care providers. Sheryl is also Vice President and General Counsel/Compliance and Security Officer for New Directions Behavioral Health in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Sheryl is a registered nurse, having received her B.S.N. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her M.S.N. degree in community health nursing from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She received her law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California. Sheryl is on the Adjunct Faculty of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Nursing where she regularly teaches classes on legal issues to nursing students. She also frequently gives presentations on health care legal issues throughout the country. Sheryl is a member of many local, state, and national legal and nursing organizations, and is involved in various community activities.
