David Blow is the founder and president of the NeuroMuscular Taping Institute, which has been based in Rome since 2003. He is an international instructor of NeuroMuscular Taping in Europe and the United States, with twenty-four years of therapeutic experience in rehabilitation, having trained in Australia, China, Japan, and Italy. David graduated from the Australian Acupuncture College in 1989 after an internship in Japan rehabilitating patients through acupuncture, then at Guang Dong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for four months, during which he treated many conditions, specializing in treatment for strokes. He brought his experience to Italy and founded the Italian AcuDetox Association and developed programs that treat alcoholism and substance abuse through acupuncture.

In 1999 he came in contact with various taping techniques. He spent the next few years studying these techniques and observed certain limitations from the point of view of rehabilitation. He decided to explore the idea of decompression taping on the skin surface as a form of therapy, based on clinical observations of the dynamics of muscle contraction and extension. Since that time, David has developed the NMTConcept and applied it to treatment to create a clinically validated concept. In 2003, he developed the innovative NeuroMuscular Taping Concept (NMTConcept), which has become popular and made significant changes in the rehabilitation field. The NeuroMuscular Taping Institute is a result of his passion for providing medical professionals working in rehabilitation with protocols that improve patients' overall treatment results and quality of life.

Since 2008 David has taught 235 continuing-education courses in medicine accredited by the Italian Health Ministry. He is a scientific referee, consulting professor, and authority in continuing education and hospital projects in Italy. He is a visiting professor in the post-master's programs in sports traumatology at the University of Pisa and the Agostino Gemelli University Polyclinic and Teaching Hospital of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome.
