ELIZABETH WILLIAMS, PHD

Dr. Elizabeth Williams is a licensed clinical psychologist in California with over 25 years of clinical experience in schools and clinics.  Before recently transitioning to private practice, Dr. Williams served as a school psychologist for over 23 years in her district, providing assessment, counseling and crisis intervention services for students and families.  In addition, she developed and presented numerous staff development workshops and in-services on school-focused topics that include mental health assessments, trauma sensitivity, non-suicidal self-injury, suicide, anxiety, depression, DSM-5 diagnoses, ASD, CBT, mindfulness, positive psychology, and cultural sensitivity.  Dr. Williams also has experience in higher education, teaching psychology courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and for the past several years she has served as a supervisor and mentor for other mental health professionals.  Dr. Williams earned her Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology, with honors, from United States International University and in 1995 she graduated with honors from United States International University  earning her PhD in clinical psychology.  She also holds a California School Psychology Credential (PPS).
