MICHAEL LASALA, PHD, LCSW

Michael LaSala, PhD, LCSW, is a psychotherapist, an internationally recognized expert on gay and lesbian couple and family issues, and an associate professor and director of the doctoral program (DSW) at the School of Social Work at Rutgers University.  He has been in practice for more than 30 years and treats LGBT individuals and families at the Institute for Personal Growth in Highland Park, NJ.  Dr. LaSala has presented workshops, keynotes, and plenary presentations nationally and abroad.  His book, Coming Out, Coming Home (Columbia University Press), describes the practice implications of a study of 65 gay and lesbian youths and their families.  Other examples of his work can be found in over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and at Psychology Today.  For further information, visit www.comingoutcominghome.com>(www.comingoutcominghome.com)
