JANET WRIGHT, OTR/L, MS, FAOTA

Janet Wright, OTR/L, MS, FAOTA, is an occupational therapist with over 27 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorders, psychosocial and neurological disorders. Ms. Wright is a former private practice owner and presently is the director of rehab for Plymouth Healthcare. She has lectured locally and nationally on autism, sensory processing disorders, sustaining the art of occupational therapy and other professional issues. Ms. Wright has a passion for patient advocacy and has served on several boards and committees throughout her career including the Autism Society of NH. She is the former occupational therapy state president for New Hampshire and 2003 Occupational Therapy Practitioner of the year recipient.

 

Ms. Wright is a recognized leader by the American Occupational Therapy Association serving on the AOTPAC board of directors for 6 years and is recognized as a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association. She is SIPT certified and her passion for working with individuals with sensory challenges has now led her to expand this knowledge into the adult population with dementia and those living in skilled nursing facilities. Ms. Wright’s experience as  a private practice owner brings additional knowledge in the areas of policy, advocacy and reimbursement.
