MARK A CODY, JD

Mark A. Cody, JD, is the legal director at Michigan Protection and Advocacy Service, Inc., where he represents clients with disabilities in systemic litigation, primarily in federal court. His areas of practice focus on mental health, civil rights, healthcare, education housing and employment. Mr. Cody was a member of a workgroup that proposed amendments to the Michigan Mental Health Code, the majority of which were adopted by the Michigan Legislature. He began his work at MPAS in 1989. Prior to joining MPAS, Mr. Cody was a managing attorney of a legal services office and has been in private practice. He earned his JD from the University of Iowa College of Law.
