KATHY BAKER, MBA, BSN, RN, CCRN, CNRN, NE-BC

Kathy Baker has been working in neuroscience for 25 years and is currently a clinician with the Interventional Radiology Department at a large academic medical center. She assisted with the building/opening of the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and played a key role in the development of the center's Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. Kathy also served as a nurse manager on a neuroscience floor at UPMC Shadyside.

As a past president and current member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, Kathy was the only RN - and woman - appointed to the Charter International Board of Directors of the World Spine Society. Her three-year term ended in 2006. She currently serves on the membership committee of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Board of Directors for the American Society for Competitiveness, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau. Kathy has contributed to numerous local, state and international conferences, speaking on a variety of neurological topics.
