ANGELA BUTTIMER, MS, NCC, LPC, RYT

Angela Buttimer, M.S. NCC, LPC, RYT, is a counselor and coach in private practice in Atlanta, GA where she works with individuals, couples, and groups through mindfulness training, yoga therapy, counseling and coaching, and various other mind body practices. An avid yoga practitioner with certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), Angela has been engaged in contemplative practices and practiced meditation for over 25 years.  She received a dharma transmission in the Thich Nhat Hanh lineage and enjoys leading meditation and yoga retreats for a variety of groups.

 

In addition to private practice, Angela is an educator, facilitator, and program developer of various integrative oncology programs at Cancer Wellness at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta including Mindfulness Meditation, Gentle Yoga, Creative Journal Writing, Memoir Writing, Poetry Readings, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, Modern Day Mystics, Energy Healing, Chakras, Mind Body practices and Integrative Medicine workshops.

 

She co-authored her first book CALM: Choosing To Live Mindfully (2011) along with the CD CALM: Guided Meditations. Her primary focus is in Integrative Health and Wellness counseling, coaching, education, and facilitation. Her life's work is dedicated to helping others heal, approaching health and wellness from a holistic perspective - honoring connection of mind, body, heart and spirit.
