Happiness, yoga, and rejuvenation – all in a beautiful setting near the majestic mountains of Sedona, Arizona. Earning 16 CE hours has never been more relaxing or transformative!

Give yourself the gift of this incredible retreat, and spend 4 days immersed in the natural beauty of the Sedona Mago Retreat Center in Sedona, Arizona. Over the course of the retreat, you’ll experience first-hand the life-changing practices of mindfulness, gratitude, compassion, self-compassion, yoga, positive neuroplasticity, and more. You’ll learn research-backed approaches to help relieve depression, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, and trauma in your clients. This is the perfect setting to deepen your understanding of positive psychology and other clinically-proven skills to enhance well-being. All levels are welcome.

Merging positive psychology approaches with yoga, this retreat will offer you a unique perspective in helping to address common mental health problems in a unique way. Over the course of the retreat, you’ll learn science-based practices to promote greater happiness and life satisfaction in both you and your clients, while learning how to tailor these approaches to common mental health struggles including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and more. We’ll follow a balanced schedule of didactics, group discussion, experiential practices, meditation, and optional yoga twice daily. Opportunities for both practice and reflection will allow you the chance to consolidate the learning into your life.

In addition to planned activities and learning, there will be ample free time for walking, contemplation and resting. The Sedona Mago Retreat Center offers an exquisite landscape, waterfalls, garden walks, and healthful, pesco-vegetarian cuisine and stylish accommodation. By the end of this retreat, you will feel transformed on both a personal and professional level, and will be equipped with new tools and practices to take your clinical work to the next level.

If you would like to be paired up with another potential, unknown attendee to take advantage of the double occupancy rate, please call and let us know. We will aim to pair you up if somebody else registers who also would like to share.

Sedona Mago Retreat is located 40 miles southwest of downtown Sedona and 2.5 hours north of Phoenix. If this is your first trip driving to Sedona Mago Retreat, arrange your driving schedule so you can arrive during daylight hours because it goes through the National Forest and road signs and lighting are limited.

Shuttle Service
AZ Shuttle provides shuttle service from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport directly to Sedona Mago Retreat Center.

Cancellation Policy: Prior to November 1, 2018, you may receive a certificate for your purchase amount to attend any future live PESI sponsored seminar or a tuition refund less a $100 cancel fee. JONAH PAQUETTE, PSY.D.

Jonah Paquette, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist, speaker and author. He is the author of Real Happiness (PESI Publishing, 2015), a research-based self-help book in which he distills the key findings in the fields of happiness and offers user-friendly tools to achieve lasting well-being. His second book, The Happiness Toolbox (PESI Publishing, 2018), offers readers an array of easy-to-use handouts and exercises designed to enhance happiness in a lasting way. His latest book, Awestruck, explores the psychological and health benefits of awe and wonder.

Jonah is also the assistant regional training director for Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, where he helps to manage a large mental health training program spanning over 20 medical centers. In addition to his clinical work and writing, Jonah offers training and consultation to therapists and organizations on the promotion of well-being and regularly conducts professional workshops around the country. He is also a frequent media contributor, having been featured in print, online, and radio outlets. He has a passion for imparting the key findings related to happiness and wellbeing with a broader audience, and he is honored to share these with you.

Kelly Paquette, PsyD, RYT 200, is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified yoga instructor. She is a psychologist for The Clinic, a group practice of clinical psychologists and psychiatrists in California, where she specializes in the treatment of trauma and the integration of mind-body practices in mental health treatment. A gifted presenter, Dr. Paquette regularly provides trainings to both professional and public audiences on a variety of topics and is the creator of a popular "Yoga for Emotional Wellness" class for patients at Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Paquette's past clinical experiences have included Veterans hospitals, community mental health clinics, and Kaiser Permanente.
